Based on unaudited data, Lithuania Post incurred nearly LTL 2.7m losses in the first half of 2012. The performance results are better by 27.8% in comparison with those of the same period in 2011 when the company’s losses amounted to LTL 3.7m.
According to Chief Executive Officer of Lithuania Post Lina Minderienė, “The Company successfully implements the Strategic Plan for 2012-2016 approved by the Board of Lithuania Post. We finished the first half of the year with only LTL 2 693 thousand net losses. They were much smaller - by LTL 8 646 thousand or 76.3% - than planned.”
EBIDTA for the first half of 2012 was positive - LTL 1.3m. It was higher by 59%, in comparison with the same period in 2011 (LTL 0.8m).
In the January-June period of 2012, Lithuania Post’s revenues from sales grew by 4.8% (compared to the first six months of the previous year) and accounted for LTL 92.4m. The most considerable growth can be seen in income from postal and courier mail services - 9.5%and 8.7%respectively.
Lithuania Post plc runs the widest network of postal access points in Lithuania. It also provides logistics, financial intermediation, and electronic services.
