Postal services
The AB "Lietuvos pastas" offers to its customers the following postal services: collection/ acceptance and delivery/ handing over of postal items (letters, small packets, printed papers, parcels) to their addressees.

 The postal activities in Lithuania and the relations between the postal service providers and the users are regulated by the POSTAL and other laws, decrees of the Government and other legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania, the Universal Postal Convention and its regulations, and international agreements to which the Republic of Lithuania is a party. 

Postal items may be sent domestically and internationally.

Categories of postal items:

Domestic

Ordinary
Courier

International

Surface
Air
Express (EMS) (Express Mail Service).

Ordinary items: The sender is not given any receipt. The addressee is not required to acknowledge the receipt of the item. 

Special services 

Registered items: At the time of posting the sender is issued a receipt. A signature of acceptance is obtained from the recipient upon delivery;  

Insured items: At the time of posting the sender is asked to declare the value of the contents and is issued a receipt. Upon delivery, the signature of acceptance shall be obtained from the recipient.

Cash-on-delivery (COD) items: At the time of mailing the sender receives a receipt. The items are delivered or handed over to the addressee upon the payment of a sum specified by the sender. A signature of acceptance from the addressee is obtained.
